Wyre Forest Swimming Club Win Top Club Award in Hereford
The Hereford Swimming Club Open Meet held over the weekend of 18th/19th November attracted over 1000 swimmers from around the West Midlands, with many vying for County & Regional Qualifying times. Despite being in very heavy training the team of 42 swimmers performed outstandingly, winning 115 medals, with 36 being Gold, 36 Silver and 43 Bronze, across all age groups and events. This led to the Club amassing 736 points over the weekend and finishing 51.5 points clear of their nearest rivals from Chase and over 200 points clear of Cheltenham.
Three members of the team won Top Girl/Boy awards in their respective age groups - Jasmin Yates in the 13 years girls, Nathaniel Crowther in the 14 years boys and Dylan Smith in the 16+ boys. Rosie Lane, Bradley Baddams, Rob Darbyshire, Lucy Nicholls, Imogen Cook, Jeremy Summers, Alexandra Hayes, Lillie Grover and Charlie Brown also just missed out on Top Swimmer awards for their respective age groups & gender.
