About the WFSC
The Wyre Forest Swimming Club (WFSC) provides swimmers of all ages and levels the opportunity to achieve whatever they wish from the excellent sport of swimming, whether that be by:
-Becoming safe in the water by joining our Learn to Swim programme
-Developing the thrill of competition by swimming with our Learn to Compete programme
-Embracing a competitive training programme within our Competition Squads that could help our swimmers achieve County, Regional, National & even International honours!
-Extending your love of the water by joining our Masters programme
For our younger swimmers the club structure starts with our Learn to Swim section where children, from the age of 4 years onward, learn the fundamentals of swimming using the Swim England’s progressive stage programme.
Once the required Learn to Swim stages are successfully completed swimmers are invited to join our Learn to Compete squads, the Shark and the Orca’s. In the Shark and Orca squads our swimmers not only complete their remaining Swim England stages but are also given the opportunity to develop early competition techniques and skills.
For those swimmers who have ambition to compete against other swimmers in other clubs we then have our three Competition Squads. These are our:
-Competitive Development Squad
We also have a growing Masters programme which caters for a wide range of ages, abilities and ambitions. They are a friendly bunch of swimmers from all backgrounds, having fun and getting fit along the way.
As a club we take the welfare and safeguarding of all our swimmers seriously and our Facebook site is closed to general viewing and is private for member access only. Families of new swimmers to the club are invited to join our members only site where you will be able to access further useful information and announcements.
Alongside our activities in the pool, the club also has a thriving social side. We pride ourselves on being a warm, friendly and welcoming club who always try to find space to accommodate new swimmers.
