About the WFSC
The Wyre Forest Swimming Club (WFSC) is an ASA affiliated competitive swimming club providing swimmers of all levels and ages the opportunity to achieve whatever they wish from the excellent sport of swimming, whether that be:
– Becoming safe in water by learning to swim
– Enjoying the thrill of competition
– Or joining a training programme that will help you achieve County, Regional, National & (with some hard work) possibly International honours!
For our younger swimmers the club structure starts with our Learn to Swim section where children learn the fundamentals of swimming using the Swim England’s Learn to Swim Programme from the age of 4 years onward. This section takes them through the requirements of Stages 1 to 5 in to our Academies 1, 2 and 3.
For our older swimmers WFSC offers Adult Learn to Swim for those who wish to build their confidence and ability in the water. There is also a Club Squad which caters for swimmers from the age of 16 who still wish to train and compete for the Club and take part in Masters events.
WFSC holds the Swim England accreditation — SwimMark which is a ‘quality assurance standard mark’, formerly known as Swim21. The SwimMark accreditation is Swim England’s quality standard for clubs recognising high standards of governance, sustainability and effectiveness.
Follow us on Facebook, which is used regularly as a source of communicating up coming events, announcements and useful swimming information.
WFSC can also be followed on Twitter and Instagram.
