Our Learn to Compete programmes
Many children who are very good, strong swimmers who move into swim competitions, particularly from other non-competitive swim providers, often get disqualified because they have not been taught the right key skills such as turns, dives and even stroke techniques.
Transitioning from learning to swim to be safe in the water to swimming better, faster and potentially competing against other swimmers and clubs does require new skills and techniques. To enable children eager to continue their swim journey we have our specialist Shark and Orca squads where our teachers focus more and more upon ensuring the correct techniques are been used.
Entry into our Learn to Compete squads is via our LTS Dolphin stage (equivalent to Swim England stage 7) with swimmers first moving into our Shark Squad and then through ability progressing to our final Learn to Compete squad, our Orcas Squad.

On completing their Orcas stage swimmers will be invited to join our Competition Squads.
